Corporate Payroll & Benefits Administrator

Job Summary: We are seeking a hardworking, experienced professional to provide support in the Human Resources Department at RAM Enterprise, Inc. located in Elko, Nevada. Join a rapidly growing company as the Corporate Payroll & Benefits Administrator to manage corporate payroll and benefits functions, and provide HR support. A willingness to execute basic administrative tasks and to work closely with management is required.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

PAYROLL

  • Coordinate closely with team members from all facilities to ensure accurate and timely collection of timekeeping information
  • Upload timekeeping data to payroll system
  • Collect and enter bonus and commission calculations from Accounting
  • Update personnel information as necessary
  • Enter new employee information and terminate employees in the system
  • Distribute payroll to all facilities according to payroll schedule
  • Process and distribute final paychecks
  • Respond to garnishments & calculate deductions for payroll
  • Manage post-payroll reports
  • Provide reports to executives and accounting as needed

 

BENEFITS

  • Enroll employees in company sponsored insurance plans, & terminate employee’s enrollment from insurance as necessary
  • Reconcile benefits invoices monthly
  • Manage COBRA process and enrollees

 

HUMAN RESOURCES

  • Process incoming employment verifications
  • Interact with all company personnel in a pleasant, helpful and courteous manner
  • Maintain the highest levels of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
  • Draft memos and other company wide correspondence as necessary
  • Process pre-employment background checks
  • Respond to employee questions/concerns

 

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years prior experience with multi-state payroll administration
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, flexible and open attitude with strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Must be organized and self directed, working with little or no supervision
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance
  • Comply with all policies and procedures in Employee Handbook
