Receptionist

We are seeking a hardworking, experienced professional to serve as Receptionist and provide administrative support to various departments in our Elko service center. This position reports to the Director of Operations, and is a non-exempt hourly position.

Summary: This position will be responsible for supporting the facility staff in day to day operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Promote safety as the company’s number one priority
  • Support, promote, and participate in the PDQ (People Determine Quality) and SPADE (Safe People Always Determine Excellence) programs
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of customer, staff and company information
  • Provide phone support in a busy office environment with multi-line system, assisting caller personally or routing caller to appropriate person
  • Interact with customers, vendors and walk-in visitors
  • Perform general clerical duties including, but not limited to, copying, faxing, mailing, and filing
  • Sort and distribute correspondence (including faxes and email) for Elko branch, and Imtech
  • Oversee all aspects of general office coordination
  • Collect and maintain inventory of office equipment and supplies
  • Assist Safety Department with data entry, tracking and records maintenance
  • Provide document control support for projects as needed
  • Provide support for various departments/divisions as needed
  • Effectively manage and track multiple projects
  • Coordinate and maintain records for office space, building maintenance, telephones, office keys and company vehicle keys
  • Must understand the basic workings of a computer network, internet service provider, web sites and search engines
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, as well as independently with little supervision
  • Assist in coordinating staff travel arrangements (motel, airline, rental car reservations) as needed
  • Respond to customer inquiries and problem solving in a professional and effective fashion
  • Possess excellent grammatical, spelling and punctuation skills
  • Provide back-up to enter purchase orders for a variety of goods and services
  • Conduct company business in a variety of local settings, including post office, UPS, etc.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures in Employee Handbook
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by leadership

Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Professional level communication skills, with the ability to understand, read, and write the English language
  • 3 years minimum experience in a customer service or office management environment
  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently with little supervision
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to, computers, printers, fax, telephone systems, calculators, and copiers
  • Demonstrated ability to manage daily activities to produce quality work product within tight time frames

Work Environment:

  • Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work
  • Regular office environment expectations
    • Sitting at least 80%
    • Standing, walking, and bending at least 10%
  • Infrequent travel to job sites may be required. In those circumstances there are the following industrial environment expectations:
    • The environment may include minimal exposure to hazards typical of an industrial job site
    • Personal protective equipment is required when on job sites, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear and – as needed- respirator, gloves and other required protective equipment as needed.
